About Me

Hi, My name is Jalen Thompson, and I am 25 years old. I am a Photographer and Filmmaker located in Los Angeles. My love and passion for the camera started when I was 14, in high school. I knew I was bound to prosper in this creative field, but it was only a matter of time before I took it to a professional level. 

Scheme Six was a brand name I created in 2018, but wasn’t born and developed until recently as a brand to market my professional work.

I am a photographer of all genres. Although I primarily focus on subjects that bring out powerful imagery and elicit strong emotions. My niche genre is capturing candid images and urban photographs that have a great level of contrast and atmospheric energy.

My expertise also includes cinematography, where I craft narratives through visual storytelling.

I possess a deep understanding of visual language, this includes lighting, framing composition, camera movements, camera angles, and the psychological impact of colors. Each and every piece plays a big role in my cinematography

 I video edit, but I am not a video editor. I mainly focus on the craft of using the camera. Video editing is another skill that takes time to learn and master. Until then, I only edit videos for the Demo Reels I provide for service. Check them out here!

I am well equipped to bring any indie film to life, I have 2* years of professional experience, with well over enough projects to know how to craft a masterpiece. I own all of my equipment I use.

I use the Sirui 1.3x Anamorphic lens set in combination with the Fujifilm X-T4 camera. This also includes equipment tools such as Gimbals, Shoulder Rigs, various lighting kits, a few audio equipment and a drone. But, let’s be honest. It’s not about the expensive equipment, but more about the craft and how it is used.
